About the Role:
The Goddard School of Gilbert (East Germann) is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our accredited full-day preschool program. Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate, play-based curriculum in a preschool classroom setting for children ages Infant through Five Years old.
  • Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children throughout the full school day
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space
  • Observe and document children's developmental milestones and behaviors
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement lesson activities aligned with program standards
Requirements:
  • Experience working with preschool-aged or early childhood education students preferred
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework, CDA credential, or related degree is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds when needed
  • Ability to maintain a warm, patient, and encouraging demeanor in a classroom setting
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional growth in early childhood education
