Job description

NOW HIRING: INTAKE MANAGER

The Godsey Law Firm | Personal Injury Law

Lead the First Impression. Drive the Results. Make an Impact.

At The Godsey Law Firm, every new client relationship begins with a conversation. Often, that conversation happens during one of the most difficult and uncertain moments in someone's life.

The person answering that call has an opportunity to build trust, provide reassurance, and help someone take the first step toward getting the representation they need.

We are looking for an Intake Manager who understands that answering calls is an activity—but converting opportunities into clients is an outcome.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to build high-performing teams, drive conversion, create accountability, and turn operational challenges into measurable results.

The Opportunity

As our Intake Manager, you will lead one of the most critical functions of our firm: the team responsible for transforming prospective client inquiries into retained clients.

You will be responsible for more than schedules, call volumes, and daily operations. You will own team performance, lead conversion, coaching effectiveness, follow-through, and the overall experience prospective clients have when contacting our firm.

We need a leader who can identify why opportunities are being lost, develop strategies to recover them, and build a team that consistently performs at a high level.

What You'll Own

  • Lead Conversion & Client Acquisition: Drive conversion performance, reduce missed opportunities, and maximize qualified client retention.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Coach, motivate, develop, and hold intake professionals accountable for measurable results.

  • Performance Management: Establish clear expectations, monitor KPIs, evaluate call quality, and address performance gaps.

  • Client Experience: Ensure prospective clients experience empathy, confidence, professionalism, and urgency from the first interaction.

  • Lead Follow-Up & Recovery: Strengthen follow-up processes, objection handling, and strategies for converting undecided prospects.

  • Operational Excellence: Improve workflows, staffing effectiveness, productivity, documentation accuracy, and departmental consistency.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Ensure accurate, timely handoffs to case management and effective communication across departments.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in intake, sales, call center operations, or another high-volume, conversion-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated success improving conversion rates, team productivity, and operational performance.

  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to develop both high performers and employees who are not meeting expectations.

  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.

  • Ability to analyze performance data, identify root causes, and implement measurable improvements.

  • Confidence making decisions, addressing difficult performance issues, and maintaining accountability.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Personal injury law firm experience is preferred, but strong conversion-focused leadership experience in another industry is highly valued.

What Will Set You Apart

You're not someone who simply reports that conversion rates are down. You investigate why, develop a plan, execute it, and measure the results.

You understand the difference between a team that stays busy and a team that produces.

You know how to coach someone through a difficult call, identify missed opportunities in a conversation, and teach employees how to build trust without sounding scripted or transactional.

You balance empathy with urgency, accountability with development, and operational discipline with exceptional service.

Most importantly, you take ownership of results—even when achieving them requires changing how things have always been done.

Why The Godsey Law Firm?

At The Godsey Law Firm, we believe exceptional client experiences begin with exceptional people and strong leadership.

Our culture is grounded in five core values—Accountability, Client First, Teamwork, Excellence, and Diligence (ACTED).

We are committed to building teams that take ownership, continuously improve, and understand how their individual contributions affect our clients and the success of the firm.

As Intake Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence how our firm grows, how our team develops, and how prospective clients experience The Godsey Law Firm from their very first interaction.

Ready to Lead?

If you're a leader who thrives on developing people, improving performance, and turning opportunities into measurable results, we want to hear from you.

Join The Godsey Law Firm and help lead the team where every client relationship begins.

The Godsey Law Firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
